Have you noticed new offers that your local pet retail stores are now doing to keep their customers coming back to them?
Two of the pet retail stores I frequent, while checking out with my purchases, the employee in both locations asked me the same question, “Are you part of our rewards program?” “Not yet,” was my response.
This may seem like a very obvious thing to do as a retail store owner, and maybe you are already doing this, but I frequent a lot of pet stores, and have to say a lot of smaller stores do not offer rewards programs.
The young man who was signing me up at the first store was very good in explaining exactly what you get with their rewards program:
The products I was buying and what the company would offer after a certain amount of purchases
What I would get through their store after a certain amount of purchases, discounts, percentage off and so on.
And just like any other store, took my information, and scanned in a card to give to me to use the next time I am there. It took no more than a minute for him to sign me up, and even though I already like that store, I know when I go back my purchases will add up and go towards a future discount.Instant customer loyalty, and it doesn’t hurt that their prices are already the best, even better than any online store!
